Questions, answered.

Is NetParty free?

Yes. NetParty is free with no account or sign-up. Everyone just needs their own subscription to the service you're watching.

Does it stream the video to my friends?

No. Each person plays the title from their own streaming account. NetParty only syncs play, pause, seek and the episode, plus your chat.

Which sites and browsers work?

Netflix and JioHotstar in Google Chrome on a computer (Chromium browsers like Edge and Brave should work too). Phones and TVs aren't supported.

How does voice chat work?

Click Join voice chat in the panel and allow your microphone. Audio travels directly between the people in the party.

What happens to our chat?

Party chat lives only while the party does. Ended parties and their messages are cleared within 6 hours.

Can someone else control playback?

By default anyone can play, pause or seek. The host can switch on 'Only I can play, pause and skip' in the popup.
